The Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery performs surgeries on the heart, lungs, esophagus, blood vessels, and chest wall. In particular, our surgeons perform minimally invasive heart and lung surgeries for the appropriate candidates, which provide many benefits including less need for blood transfusions, fewer scars, less pain, a shorter hospital stay, and a quicker recovery. Our surgeons collaborate across specialties relevant to the patient’s condition to offer comprehensive and safe perioperative care.
