Cancer Center
The cancer center serves communities in Gangwon-province with programs and services tailored to unique needs and populations. We are equipped with 4th generation da Vinci Xi surgical system aimed at more precise, minimally invasive procedure changing the landscape of laparoscopic surgery treating cancers including colorectal, thyroid, gynecologic, and various urologic cancers such as kidney, prostate, and bladder cancer. Currently we adopted artificial intelligence (AI) technology for advancement in medical imaging in more accurate diagnosis of cancer, including gastric cancer, breast cancer.
Some of our advanced devices include 3.0 Tesla MRI, digital mammography that detects even the earliest cancerous lesion in the breast through its super-precision computer system, and PET-CT to detect cancer throughout the entire body.
In the field of radiation therapy, we are doing cutting edge of the new technology to improve treatment outcome and adverse side effects. The new technologies are FSRT, SBRT, and IMRT. Limited number of small metastatic tumor in the brain, lung and liver is indicated. We treat diseases such as medically inoperable early-stage non-small cell lung cancer, prostate cancer, pancreatic cancer, and others.
